As a Refrigeration Installation Coordinator, you will manage new store/remodel supermarket refrigeration installation projects for parallel rack refrigeration systems, HVACs, cases and equipment across multiple prototypes/refrigeration system types. This includes, but is not limited to: project planning, design, management, programming, monitoring and reporting to meet business area project objectives Additional responsibilities include:
planning tasks and milestones for electricians, equipment manufacturers, and refrigeration contractors
overseeing pipe installations/case change outs and determine that contractors are adhering to all scope, safety, and installation requirements
reviewing installation of all refurbishment, piping, electrical/EMS installation, programming and creating punch lists for all remaining concerns
HVAC or Refrigeration Trade school completion or its equivalent
one of the following combinations of experience:
at least eight (8) years of experience working in supermarket refrigeration construction with at least 2 CO2 and Glycol installations OR
at least three (3) years of experience in supermarket refrigeration construction AND at least three (3) years of experience as a Publix Refrigeration Technician 3 OR
at least five (5) years of experience as a Publix Refrigeration Coordinator 2 and demonstrated competency in Refrigeration Construction Management
advanced knowledge of Emerson/E2/Danfoss/Prodigy Controller Programming Systems and Languages
intermediate knowledge of Project Management software programs
intermediate knowledge of SAP/Fiori and Microsoft Office; Excel
knowledge of construction trade terminologies/safety and OSHA regulations
ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
knowledge of project management methodologies
excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
strong leadership and negotiation skills
EPA Universal license
valid driver’s license
willingness to work flexible hours
ability to lift/lower/climb ladders and walk roof tops
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Business or analytical discipline
ten (10) or more years of experience working in supermarket refrigeration construction with at least 2 CO2 and Gylcol installations
OR five (5) or more years of experience working in supermarket refrigeration AND five (5) or more years of experience working as a Publix Refrigeration Technician 3
knowledge of Publix Facilities departmental processes and organizational structure
