Reefer Mechanic Needed

A leading transport refrigeration company in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Reefer Mechanic to join their growing team!

Schedule: Monday–Friday (hours vary by shop needs; on-call availability required)

Pay: $25-35/hr +

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair reefer unit cooling, electrical, and refrigeration systems
Perform leak detection, system charging, and routine preventive maintenance
Repair or replace compressors, refrigerant lines, condensers, evaporators, and engine seals
Read fault codes, troubleshoot electrical issues, and follow manufacturer specifications
Maintain accurate parts usage, work independently, and follow all safety standards

Requirements:

3 years of transport refrigeration or related technician experience
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must be able to work on-call for after-hours service needs
Must provide own tools
Able to lift 60 lbs and perform frequent bending, climbing, standing, and moving
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
