We are seeking a Refrigeration Technician 1 to join our Facilities Refrigeration team! The Refrigeration Technician 1 assists the Refrigeration Technician 2 and 3 to support retail refrigeration operations by performing HVAC repair and maintenance, rack refrigeration general maintenance and some routine general refrigeration maintenance service requests for retail stores. Primary responsibilities include:

- performing repairs and general maintenance using many different refrigerant types such as carbon dioxide (CO2), glycol, etc.
- repairing and general maintenance of Energy Management systems such as Emerson and Danfoss.
- performing housekeeping duties such as maintaining accurate parts inventory
- participating in special refrigeration projects for retail facilities and assisting with the implementation of corporate projects
- HVAC or Refrigeration Trade school completion or equivalent experience
- 1 year working in skilled trades service or construction disciplines OR 2 years Publix Retail or Operations experience
- EPA Universal License
- must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license
- basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- ability to lift/lower/climb ladders/walk on roofs
- willingness to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and to travel with overnight stays
- willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
- 20 years of age to drive a company vehicle
