Rigging Technician Sea Fox Boat Company – Moncks Corner, SC Sea Fox Boat Company, a leader in high-quality offshore and family recreation boats, is seeking a skilled Rigging Technician to join our production team. This position plays a hands-on role in installing electronics, hardware, and other components that bring every Sea Fox vessel to life. We are excited to fill several open positions that all center around rigging or completing the rigging of boats in various stages of builds. We are looking for rigging techs in our capping, deck rigging and interior departments.
Responsibilities
Assemble and install boat electrical and control systems using air, pneumatic, and electric tools
Build, route, and terminate wire harnesses
Install rigging hardware, components, and electronic systems
Perform function tests and inspections to verify quality and proper operation
Set up and adjust equipment, tools, and fixtures
Identify and respond to out-of-spec conditions and escalate issues when needed
Install accessories and order-specific components
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and complete repairs or rework
Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety guidelines
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams
Cross-train and assist within rigging and related areas as required
Support final inspection, engine checks, water-test operations, seating installs, and other finishing tasks
Review engineering drawings and follow installation specifications
Adapt to shifting priorities and support other departments when necessary
Perform additional duties that support production goals
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support team members
Preferred:
Experience in boat rigging, marine systems, electrical installation, or mechanical assembly
Previous boat-building or marine industry experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, climbing, squatting, and overhead work
Ability to work at heights and on platforms
Standing and walking for most of a 8 hour shift
Exposure to noise, dust, and fumes; PPE required (eye protection, closed-toe shoes, etc.)
Work Environment:
Outdoor warehouse setting in a manufacturing facility
May involve exposure to fiberglass dust, noise, and varying temperatures
Use of PPE such as gloves and eye protection
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Prolonged standing and walking within the factory.
Adequate visual acuity for product and machinery inspection.
Regular lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing in and out of boats for up to 8 hours per day.
