NOTICE OF JOB VACANCY

Job Title:         ROW Technician I

Department:  Operations

Location:        Summerdale

Description of Responsibilities:

·         Maintain the right-of-way so that the lines are kept clear of debris to ensure a continued, reliable electric service to members and to reduce line loss.

·         Form and maintain positive relationships with members while performing right-of-way tasks.

·         Clean and inspect all equipment to verify its proper maintenance and compliance with safety rules.

·         Inspect right-of-way trucks and other mechanical equipment for safety and good working order.

·         Controlling road and sidewalk traffic as needed; placing warning devices to protect the work area.

·         Cutting, chipping, and loading brush and wood cut by the crew, raking, and cleaning the work area.

·         Successful completion of prescribed training courses for a line clearance tree trimmer.

Minimum Requirements:

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         Must have experience operating chainsaws, chipper equipment, commercial trucks, chemical use, reading maps, and the ability to read job orders.

·         Must have a valid driver’s license.

·         Must have or obtain first aid and CPR certification.

·         Must have or obtain a Class A CDL.

·         Must complete certification for the Electrical Hazard Awareness Program (EHAP).

Working Conditions:

·         Position requires outdoor work virtually 100 percent of the time.

·         Overtime and weekend work may be required.

·         Subject to call out during adverse weather conditions or other emergencies.
