Primary Purpose:

To effectively supervise, monitor, and manage a campus (SAC) program in order to facilitate campus needs.

 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Qualifies for appropriate state paraprofessional certification

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Knowledge of behavior and social skill intervention techniques and methodology
  • Able to work with students with significant behavioral needs
  • Able to develop and deliver professional development
  • Trained in CPI or other crisis intervention program

 

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors
  • Experience effectively implementing behavior management strategies

 

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Program Support

  • Assist in carrying out the district’s goal of improving student achievement by providing assistance to students who are at-risk of academic failure or dropping out of school and/or staff who work with these students.
  • Is knowledgeable of Campus Discipline Management Plan/Student Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain a level of professionalism when dealing with administrators, teachers, students, etc., at all times.
  • Maintain or account for student (SAC) attendance to ensure efficient record keeping and documentation.
  • Monitor class assignments for the purpose of successful program effectiveness.
  • Maintain a level of classroom management for the purpose of ensuring safety and security for school personnel and students.
  • Organize, inventory, collect, and return student class assignments to the appropriate teachers on a daily basis.
  • Prepare auxiliary class assignments for students when deemed appropriate and necessary.
  • Direct students to and from lunch/restroom breaks in an orderly manner free of disruption in a safe and secure manner.
  • Communicate with administrators and/or teachers in matters regarding student needs.
  • Supervise all students at all times during the regular school day.
  • Assist with administrators in facilitating other campus needs (e.g. detention hall).

Other

  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of technology competence to meet the current and future needs of Alief.
  • Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of Instructional Paraprofessional Personnel.

 

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals

Posture: Standing, prolonged sitting, occasional kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing pulling, and twisting

Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; may also require climbing stairs and reaching over head

Lifting: Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 15 pounds); May require occasional heavy lifting and carrying (15-45 pounds)

Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; possible district wide travel; all campuses are temperature controlled with hard surface floors

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress

Pay Grade: ISP2 

2025-2026 Salary Range Min. $23,932 Mid. $27,988 Max. $32,045  (Based on previous experience) 

Salaries are determined by the number of completed and eligible years of service at an accredited school.  

Salary is based on 187 days. If working less than 187 days, the salary will be less.
