About the Role
We are looking for a Business Product Owner with a strategic mindset and deep understanding of the reinsurance value chain to lead the development, optimization, and vision for our Sales & Origination tools with a focus on our CRM tool. This role is critical in modernizing how our reinsurance sales teams engage with brokers, cedents, and internal stakeholders — streamlining origination processes and enabling data-driven decision-making. The Product Owner is the crucial interface between the business and IT focused on maximizing the value-add of our Sales & Origination tools.
As the Sales & Origination Product Owner you will:
Product Strategy and Business Alignment
• Shape the product(s) vision and roadmap for Sales and Origination (such as Sales Advisor, ReCOT, ZoomInfo or Seismic) capabilities together with business teams and senior Product Owner.
• Monitor and prioritise business requirements in line with vision and strategic direction, coordinate and oversee IT implementation and test or oversee user testing.
• Be a "translator" between the business need and what SR can offer or develop. This by using language and illustrations that engage the non-expert audience.
• Conduct product and market research to investigate trends and potential new product designs.
Change Management
• Act as a Business Partner to global Key User Community aiming to create long-term strategic partnership to optimise usage of Sales & Origination tools, maximise ease of use for users and ensure the system is fit for purpose today and tomorrow
• Responsible for adoption of respective Sales & Origination tools, from definition of adoption expectations, to monitoring to driving/coordinating activities to improve adoption
• Development and maintenance of user documentation and conducting of relevant training (standardization as well as ad hoc)
• Together with the business define benefit statements and monitor and report their realisation
About the Team
You will be part of a high-performing team with very diverse skillsets and expertise across multiple locations. Together, we are the trusted advisor and partner for the Reinsurance business in relation to the sales and origination processes, tools, analytics and artificial intelligence thereby are a core element of our digital transformation that enables and accelerates transformation to a performance driven Origination organization. We act as the product owners of several platforms such as Reinsurance Customer Relationship Management tool and Seismic and analytics offerings therefore are the interface between IT, business departments and external service providers. We ensure that Sales and Marketing tools are used optimally, and data is maintained accurately and leveraged to its utmost potential to drive decisions.
About You
• Sound knowledge and experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably within the financial services industry (< 5 years)
• Experience in Agile on a similar role, strong analytical skills of maintaining and prioritizing a backlog
• Strong communication skills to synchronize tasks, clarify requirements and delivery expectations with stakeholders
• Ability to present updates to senior management on progress, key risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions and constraints, seeks their support to remove roadblocks
• Understanding of industry trends and client needs, ability to create a value proposition and a product vision
• Demonstrated track record of delivering objectives with a clear hands-on mentality
• Knowledge of design thinking frameworks and customer journeys
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2100 and EUR 3400 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
