As a Data Science Project Manager, you have a dual role as a data scientist and as a project manager.
<\/div>

<\/div>
You will engage with clients, understand business priorities, and discuss data science solution/algorithm approaches. You will coordinate with the onsite project manager to manage project timelines and deliver high -quality results. You will also support service delivery via regular client communications, set the right expectations, gather feedback and ensure the engagement is in good health.

You will also oversee the activities of junior data scientists and analysts. You will ensure that the offshore team is working smoothly, remove any roadblocks and guide them on data science/engineering/business fronts as the need may be. You will provide your expertise on statistical and mathematical concepts and guide the team in algorithms and model development.

Who you are
<\/h2>
You are a Project Manager who is passionate about using robust project management practices to deliver quality data -driven solutions and products that delight customers. You have experience managing data -heavy projects in an onsite -offshore model with significant client engagement. You have some experience of working data science and analytics, preferably in the energy/utilities or financial risk/trading related areas. You thrive on taking initiatives, are very comfortable with ambiguity and can passionately defend your decisions.

Responsibilities
<\/h2>
  • Client Engagement: You will act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding the data science requirements, discussions and planning. You will also support the onsite project manager in managing client needs and expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Project Coordination: Act as the lead for the offshore team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals. You will work with the onsite project manager and the clients to define and agree on project goals, scope and deliverables.

  • Team Management: Supervise the offshore AI/ML team, and ensure they meet project milestones and deliverables. You will ensure that the offshore team is receiving the right domain, technical guidance and support. Oversee the activities of the team, ensuring proper execution of duties and alignment with business objectives.

  • Data Science Leadership: Manage, mentor and guide a team of high performing data scientists and data analysts. Create tools and frameworks that accelerate the delivery of scalable data analytics and AI/ML solutions and products. Ensure the adoption of best practices for data science development and AI/ML model lifecycle management.

  • Quality Assurance: Work with the offshore project manager to implement quality assurance processes that ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and achievements.

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • 8+ years of experience in applying data science methods to develop models that extract business value from real -world data. Experience in Energy & Utilities domain or financial risk/ commodities pricing /trading would be a plus.
      <\/span>
      <\/li>
    • 3+ years of experience in leading data science teams to develop and deliver data science, machine learning and AI solutions and products.

      <\/li>
    • Deep familiarity with a range of data science methods and algorithms (time -series analysis, regression analysis, experimental design, optimization, etc.)

      <\/li>
    • Strong understanding of ML algorithms including areas such as deep learning, NN, NLP, and more.

      <\/li>
    • Proficient Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps practices and platforms like MLflow.

    • Broad understanding of data structures, data engineering and architectures.

      <\/li>
    • Strong interpersonal skills, result -oriented, self -motivated, proactive, and capable of handling multiple projects.

    • Ability to work in collaborative settings, take accountability, and stay composed under stress.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non -technical stakeholders.

    • Proven ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

We multi -skill our people to own more outcomes than hiring someone who has less to do. We don’t like squatting and hoarding that comes in the form of hiring for growth. High revenue per person comes from high quality work from everyone. We demand it.<\/span>

        The position is based out of Chennai. Our work currently involves significant in -person collaboration and we expect you to work out of our offices in Chennai.
