We may work with boxes, but we think outside of them
Position: Senior Project Manager Baltics
Location: Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn
At IKEA, we’re on a journey to create a better everyday life for the many people. Expansion is a big part of that journey – and so is project management.
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll help turn big ideas into real impact. Whether it’s leading the way in new store formats, supporting digital transformation, or making sure our projects run smoothly from start to finish – you’ll be at the heart of making things happen.
You’ll work closely with teams across the Baltics and beyond, always guided by our shared values and a people-first mindset. You’ll have plenty of freedom to lead, and plenty of support to grow.
What you will be doing as a Senior Project Manager Baltics:
Lead end-to-end projects across functions and countries – from early planning to final delivery and handover.
Manage project scope, timeline, cost, quality, communication and risk.
Ensure alignment with IKEA decision-making and delivery methodologies (e.g. PPS, agile, or hybrid).
Coordinate and lead people from different countries, units and backgrounds in a collaborative way.
Drive effective stakeholder communication, including engagement of internal and external partners.
Prepare and support receiving organisations for change and implementation.
Continuously improve how we manage projects, share best practices and develop our team’s competence.
Coach and support Project Leaders and project teams to achieve strong, people- and business-focused results.
Actively contribute to a culture of openness, inclusiveness and learning, always guided by our IKEA values.
Be a key player in building an even more accessible, affordable and sustainable IKEA.
At IKEA we will love you from the first day, but we will adore you if you have:
Extensive experience (5+ years) in project management – ideally in expansion, retail establishment or digital transformation.
Strong leadership skills – you know how to lead through others, build trust and coach people from different backgrounds.
A proven track record in delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time, on budget and with high quality.
Good knowledge of IKEA business processes, governance models, and expansion strategy is a big plus.
Experience in working with investment requests, commercial briefs, and retail establishment milestones.
Fluency in English (spoken and written) – additional knowledge of local Baltic languages is a bonus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A structured, proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
A passion for leading change, working together, and always putting the customer at the heart.
A deep connection to IKEA values and a desire to grow with us.
