Who are we looking for?

GHD’s Tasmanian Project Management group is seeking a client-focused and enthusiastic Senior Project Manager to join the growing team focusing on the Energy & Resources sector. Due to a strong forward workload, and ongoing market demand, the team is expanding and is looking for a Senior PM with demonstrated capability in managing projects on behalf of external and internal clients. We will consider any office location – Hobart, Launceston, Burnie or Queenstown and will consider part time applicants too, even offering relocation support for the right person.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Managing projects end to end - ensuring they are set up for success, the deliverables meet clients’ needs and the proposed objectives are achieved
• Managing projects of various complexity including Program Management, Project Management and Integrated Design Services as well as within GHD fee parameters, and within the Clients time, quality and financial constraints and key performance objectives
• Preparation of project management plans relevant to the context of each project
• Setup, coordination and management of relevant project controls such as work breakdown structures, schedules, cost control, and document management processes
• Management of client relationships and conducting business development activities, including preparation of bids and proposals 
• Working closely with small and large contractors to ensure our clients’ best interests are proactively managed.

What would you bring to the team?

• Relevant tertiary qualifications backed by 10+ years’ relevant PM experience in Energy & Resources
• Experience in administration or delivery of work under standard form construction contracts such as AS 2124, 4300 & 4905
• Experience working on major industrial, mining/resources and/or complex construction sites
• Strong stakeholder engagement across multiple industry sectors
• High familiarity with project governance framework/issues and risk management within a resources industry context
• A natural collaborator who is motivated by your team’s success.
