About the role
Step into a pivotal role at the cutting edge of Australia’s energy transformation. As a power system Engineering focussed Project Manager in our Onboarding & Connections department, you’ll be key driver of innovation, working at the intersection of technology, sustainability and infrastructure.

In this dynamic position, you’ll lead coordinate a diverse portfolio of energy infrastructure related projects that span emerging technologies and energy solutions. You’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, from internal teams to Network Service Providers (NSPs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to bring groundbreaking projects to life.

Your work will directly support the integration of the new power system technologies into the NEM. What you will be doing

  • Partner with the Team Manager to assess team capacity across all project phases, identifying potential overloads, resource gaps, and opportunities for team development and growth.
  • Apply a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, delivering timely and effective solutions to complex project and stakeholder challenges.
  • Support the implementation of process enhancements across the Onboarding and Connections, helping to streamline operations and boost efficiency.
  • Establish a tailored project management framework for the Technical Solutions team, leveraging proven tools and methods from the Connection Delivery team to track progress, manage resources, and prioritise effectively.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and finance teams to develop a sustainable cost recovery model that enable the Technical Solutions team to continue supporting early OEM engagements. Act as the key liaison with the CRI Early engagement stream to bring the model to life.
  • Build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners to ensure project goals are clearly defined and consistently achieved.

 

What you will bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, or a related field, with a recognised management certification highly regarded, and brings a solid understanding of the energy sector, including industry operations and regulatory frameworks.
  • Bring a wealth of experience in delivering and managing projects, programs, or portfolios   within the energy sector or similar industry.
  • Proficiency with relevant software for Project Management and Customer Relationship Management, and capability for analysis of project data.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend, articulate, and manage complex engineering programs within the energy sector.
  • Solid understanding of the key commercial and legal considerations influencing large-scale infrastructure projects.
