Job Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity at TE Connectivity to join our Aerospace, Defense & Marine (ADM) Project Management Office.

 

Reporting to a Portfolio Manager the SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER ENGINEER will have primary responsibility for delivery of a series of Product Development Projects within the Relays Business Unit. The SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER ENGINEER is a prominent Project Management role with TE and the position holder will drive the successful performance of multiple high profile/value projects following defined methods and processes to achieve commercial and efficiency targets set by the business.

 

Developing relationships and maintaining a high-level of communication with cross-functional global teams will be critical to the role. You will be required to act as the primary owner of each project and to report progress to a senior leadership team on a regular cadence and at specific key Milestones during each Project.

 

This role will be a role located remotely in the US, but proximity to a TE site for on-boarding and, when required, in-person work would be advantageous. Location hubs would be Mansfield, OH / Fairview, NC / Carpinteria, CA.

Job Requirements

  • All aspects of Project Management from project inception to completion
  • Working with global multi-disciplinary teams to engineer and manufacture relay products in a regulated environment
  • Risk Management and leadership of Risk Assessment activities
  • Development of the Project Business Case alongside the Business Office
  • Reporting on Project status and being accountable for project progress against the Plan
  • Defining all necessary requirements, alongside Subject Matter Experts, for the Relay Product(s) being developed by the project.
  • Escalation of issues as applicable and utilisation of project change controls
  • Managing and being accountable for a project budget, liaising with procurement to ensure timely acquisition of goods and materials
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers globally
  • Evaluating project engineering designs and tracking project completion within budget and scheduling constraints
  • Reviewing reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address execution problems
  • Participating in the development of project schedules, work plans, technical estimates, and design documents
  • Monitoring project health, safety and integrity through compliance with regulatory standards and best practices

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in a manufactruing environment within a regulated industry. 
  • Project Management Professional (e.g. PMP, Prince 2, APM certifications), preferred
  • A professional level of business acumen and good commercial understanding
  • Results-driven
  • The ability to tailor critical information and communication to different audiences
  • Experience with Planisware

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $118,200 - $177,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
