Senior Project Manager - Improvements

Mace
Full-time
On-site
Winchester, United Kingdom

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.

The project:

We are supporting our strategic client in the UK on their c£5bn capital investment programme to transform their infrastructure. It is a complex portfolio of over 70 projects being delivered across the UK estate. As such there is the continual need for improvements and learning of lessons in delivery from one project to another. The improvements are required across all disciplines, e.g. PMO, Commercial, PM etc and require strong management to ensure identification of opportunities, integrated and co-ordinated solutions are developed and implementation is supported with clear communication and training where appropriate.

Whilst there are accountable functions that own the ways of working across each discipline, there is a need for project management of this continuous improvement workstream. The role will include co-ordination, drive and integration across disciplines so the PM will need strong multidisciplinary capability and excellent communication skills. They will also need a curious nature to discover and drive change, as well as attributes of a contributor taking on accountability for some of the solutions directly - in particular the facilitation of lesson sharing and driving implementation of their recommendations, which will also require excellent delivery experience and knowledge to prioritise, create/agree solutions and communicate out credibly.
