Qualifications
High School Diploma
Fifteen (15) years of related experience in project management, construction, inspections, planning, design, permitting, construction administration and/or general civil engineering at least two (5) years of experience specifically in civil commercial project and/or water management system design or review.
Licenses or Certifications
Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
Key Responsibilities
Reviews various commercial development and permit applications providing formal plan review comments to applicants and contractors regarding compliance with the City Engineering Design Standards (EDS), Land Development Code (LDC), Utility Design Procedures Manual, Comprehensive Plan, Florida Statute 177, SFWMD, NPDES criteria and other applicable regulations.
Reviews complex Traffic Impact Statements.
Reviews applications to vacate platted rights-of-way and easements.
Researches and processes water management system designs and permits for existing and planned developments.
Provides approval and/or denial of site development and infrastructure, demolition, parking lot, utility relocation, land clearing, storm drain and utility service relocation and right of way permits.
