POSITION SUMMARY
Borden Dairy is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Shipping Worker - Stocker. In this essential role, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing and distribution process by performing a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing materials and finished products.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transport finished products manually or using equipment.
- Load, unload, stack, and move materials (ingredients/products) as directed.
- Sort, bundle, and package items or assemble units as needed.
- Label product loads with identifying information.
- Record stock movement in and out of work areas.
- Monitor materials, products, and equipment throughout the process and report any irregularities to the supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Accurately complete all required documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred.
- Must hold and maintain a valid company-issued forklift certification.
- Strong situational awareness and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and accurately recording data. Bilingual skills are beneficial.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work for extended periods in a damp environment with seasonal temperature variations.
- Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, including in varying environmental conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights and from ladders as required.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 60 lbs.
- Capable of pulling up to 270 lbs. using a pull rod while walking in reverse.
- Frequent physical activity required, including lifting, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping, and kneeling.
- Must maintain consistent mental focus and situational awareness in a fast-paced environment.
