At Varian, a Siemens Healthineers Company, we have an opportunity for an experienced Software Project Manager (Installations) to join our team.
As Project Manager (Software), you will manage software Product Projects, from Sales order through to acceptance, within the Healthcare sector. You will meet regularly with customers, and their suppliers, to develop agreed schedules. Travel throughout the region is estimated between 20% - 30%.
Projects will typically focus on the delivery of new or enhanced products, to improvement customer satisfaction, using technology (new products and upgrades). Typical project duration, from concept to delivery, is 6-12 months.
Project Installations will involve acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems or system integration. Project Schedules are reported for quarterly Revenue Forecasting purposes.
Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key; however, a strong technical background is advantageous to manage competing interests.
Ideally the Jobholder will be based in Denmark, but we will consider applications from any Nordic Country.
Fluency in both a Scandinavian language and English (both verbal and written communication) is an essential requirement.
Responsibilities:
Act as a single point of contact for our customers.
Attend onsite customer visits (including customers, third party supplier partners); typically, 3 sites visit per project per year.
Help customers prepare their facility for a successful and efficient installation.
Issue documentation explaining requirements.
Extensive interaction with Sales, Order Processing, Installations Resource Managers and customers' teams.
Review Sales Orders (nothing any unusual requirements) and following up with appropriate action after gained experience.
Oversee schedules and target budgets for installs and rigging activities.
Monitor the customer facility preparations and coordinate equipment shipment schedules to ensure timely and effective installation and commissioning of equipment.
Advise customers on complex facility requirements, needs and/or changes including, but not limited to, safety requirements, room layout and electrical, plumbing and HVAC requirements.
Provide reports indicating installation activities and analysing schedules.
Builds expert knowledge in our industry and conveys that knowledge to benefit our customer experience.
Maintains thorough knowledge of building codes, OSHA (Health & Safety), and other legal requirements related to the construction industry / radiation environment and Varian specific data packages/drawings.
Lends expertise to internal teams. Applies best practice and lessons learned.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Experience in Project Management, Field Customer Service or Engineering.
Strong customer service acumen.
General appreciation of construction, radiation regulations and network design.
Fluency in both a Scandinavian language and English (both verbal and written communication)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in field.
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, AI, Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
Knowledge of Varian's software suite is preferable
