We are seeking a SUE Project Manager - Private Projects to join our Atlanta, GA team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

This position is responsible for managing and leading Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) projects for the private and utilities group at Atlas. This role is responsible for schedule, quality and budget for SUE projects and serves as liaison between Atlas and its clients. Business development is a vital role in order to maintain client relationships. Management of Atlas SUE equipment and fleet operations is also required:

  • Manage SUE projects from initiation to closeout
  • Responsible for schedule, quality and budget
  • Prepare proposals, project budgets, project set ups
  • Contribute to planning for staffing and equipment needs
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with Atlas clients
  • Represent Atlas at meetings with clients and industry events
  • Coordinate with vendors and sub-consultants as needed to complete project scope
  • Responsible for billing cycles, WIP and AR

Minimum requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver�s License and satisfactory driving record
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • 5 years of experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) or Utility field
  • 2-3 years of experience in project management and business development
  • Private utility experience is recommended
  • Understanding of ASCE 38-22 Ambitious and willing to learn

Technical requirements:

  • Design and Utility plans review experience AUTOCAD experience preferred.
  • Open-roads and Micro-station experience for Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is a plus.
  • Deltek Vantage-point experience preferred
  • Ability to hand multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to positively communicate with peers and clients
  • Ability to work overtime

Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • Positive attitude toward team work
  • Relationships with utility owners and private sector clients in Georgia
