We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team at Oxlo, a Dura Software company. This is a US-based Remote, full-time, Exempt position. In this role, you will be responsible for interfacing directly with customers to gather and document business requirements, perform business analysis, and manage projects. You will be a key player in making sure solutions to real industry problems are implemented and delivered to the customer.

About this role

This role is the liaison between customers and their business partners, working to understand new integration needs, and then documenting the business processes and specifications for development. The role works directly with customers and customer’s business partners to ensure smooth development, delivery, and production deployment of specific projects. This role will project-manage and create detailed technical specifications that describe use cases and functional business requirements for both internal and external audiences. You will be the voice of the customer to ensure high value is delivered in each project.

Additionally, the role works directly with the development team to hand-off specifications needed to build innovative solutions. Your ability to understand their world and provide detailed requirements that are grounded in the realities of software development will be key to your success.


What you will need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, will get excited by working directly with customers, will have the focus and organization to create documentation around new features, be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and will have the technical skill to dive into details of software environments.

Ideal candidates will have direct experience working either in Automotive Back-End Software (DMS, Manufacturer, Lender or associated products) as well as a background in how software is developed and delivered. Specifically, candidates should:

· Possess general knowledge of the Automotive Retail Industry or other industries with a high degree of integrated systems.

· Understand the Software Development Lifecycle and have a desire to be part of creating solutions, both API based as well as GUI based solutions.

· Be capable of writing detailed requirements specifications with use cases and functional requirements.

· Be organized and capable of project managing multiple projects at the same time.

· Enjoy working directly with customers and internal technical teams.


Required skills and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Information System or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Project Management with specification writing experience.
  • Project management experience, including project plan creation, project-tracking and status reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with data representation technologies (XML, JSON).
  • Basic SQL skills.
  • Basic Excel skills.
  • Exposure to Microsoft technologies including Microsoft Teams, SQL Server, Excel and      Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization.
  • The position may require occasional travel.
  • Right to work in the U.S. is required.

Job location and availability

Employee can be permanently located anywhere in the U.S. Work will be performed fully remotely (e.g. work-from-home). 

  • Daily attendance on Teams meetings is required.
  • Position is fully remote, so reliable fast internet connection is required.
  • Work Hours will correspond to the location of Oxlo and its customers and can include all U.S., Mexico, and Canadian time zones.
