About this job:
Installs, repairs and performs skilled licensed maintenance on District HVAC systems (e.g., water and air cooled chillers, cooling towers, and roof top DX AHUs).

What You'll Do:
- Attends training and completes journeyman program according to required hours
- Troubleshoots and identifies repairs for refrigeration system and performs repairs or contracts out major chiller repairs; evacuates, reclaims or recycles refrigerant according to EPA guidelines
- Repairs and installs HVAC equipment; installs HVAC systems, rigging heavy loads and coordinating with other shop staff; fabricates, repairs, and installs HVAC system fittings, registers, venting, pipe fittings
- Diagnoses repairs; modifies and performs repairs using blueprints and schematics and considering building codes and standards
- Prepares and cleans up job site, taking into consideration safety concerns of self and others, and disposes of waste and flammable materials
- Calibrates and installs pneumatic, electrical, and electronic controls made by different manufacturers
- Operates tools and equipment for combustion controls
- Reviews work orders, prioritizes, and determine supplies for repair and purchases supplies using District purchase order system
- Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade, as an apprentice
- Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis and responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED minimum
- L2 (Journeyman): Four (4) years experience
- Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards.
