Role Summary:- The Drilling Support Data Manager serves as the focal point for data management activities related to drilling operations.
- Main responsibilities are supporting real-time and final data delivery.
- Managing and storing data deliverables.
- Managing partner and regulatory data delivery and documentation.
- Technical support for technical well/wellbore data, aligning with business objectives through effective data delivery, remediation, and knowledge capture.
- The position requires a strategic mindset, operational discipline, and a strong commitment to data integrity and governance
Responsibilities:- Responsible for delivering a wide range of data management services, including but not limited to:
- Real-Time Drilling Data Support – utilisation of SLB Interact to access data
- Setup and manage the real-time data feeds in Petrel for a drilling campaign.
- Document management – working knowledge of SharePoint and experience working with Pemex/Partner requirements for delivery of data and documents
- Prepare data for regulatory activities
- Facilitate timely notifications of newly available datasets relevant to team activities.
- Interaction with the Regulatory team to ensure compliance with the client's and Regulatory entity's standards.
- Liaise between the Subsurface Data Services Team and the Service Company Data Loading Service Line to capture data at end of each well into System of Record
- Monitoring newly loaded and existing well data in both Systems of Record and application environments to ensure data integrity.
- Promoting best practices in data management and ensuring adherence to data governance principles across subsurface teams.
- Standardising databases and managing data within the Petrel Studio Repository and Petrel projects
Requirements:- 5+ years Oil and Gas industry experience working with E&P data management
- Language – Good working level of Spanish and English
- Knowledge of well data – including well headers, directional surveys and well logs
- Experience with real-time data feeds (SLB – Interact) and understanding of drilling operations.
- Significant experience in SLB-Petrel, Petrel Studio required and Techlog preferred
- Experience with well data submission formats defined by the Mexico Regulator
- Working knowledge of business rules to assess and improve well data quality
- Management of E&P technical data with an understanding of the business requirements
- Strong capability in E&P technical data for wellbore data that is used throughout the asset lifecycle
- Strong project management skills
- Familiarity with Gulf of Mexico data and Mexican regulations
- Proactive communication skills, including sharing recommendations and industry best practices
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work collaboratively within and across teams
- Flexible with a focus on continual improvement and creating efficiencies
