Annual salary: $77,016.31 + Full State Employee Benefits

Job-related travel is Occasional.  Must possess a valid driver's license.

 

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience

OR

A combination of education and experience substituting one year of professional experience for each year of the required education.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Investigates assigned complaints of unlawful discrimination in accordance with Title VI or VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act concerning Oklahoma Human Services (OHS) employees, clients, and partners – and other violations of applicable state and federal laws and guidelines. Staffs with Civil Rights Administrator and conducts a prompt, effective, and impartial investigation; and provides consistent and appropriate recommendations for the resolution of discrimination complaints.  Confers with Civil Rights Administrator and provides assistance to management and other officials in complying with non-discriminatory employment practices. And identifies and recommends the need for remedial action and appropriate follow-up training and reviews.

  • Plans, organizes, and conducts the annual Civil Rights SNAP Audit required by the United States Department of Agriculture, Office of Food and Nutritional Services. Provide randomly selected case evaluations and interviews seeking assurance that service delivery for clients is in compliance with the applicable federal laws. 

  • Confers with Civil Rights Administrator and agency departments regarding filed ADA, discrimination claims, and review of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) cases.  Reviews compliance with provisions of the ADA/ADAAA, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 1991, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Equal Pay Act, the Pregnant Worker Fairness Act (PWFA), and other applicable laws, regulations, rules, and guidelines. 

  • Analyzes and reviews assigned reasonable accommodation requests for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) program for OHS staff and clients. Provides assistance to the management of assigned cases in complying with the ADA, to review their concerns and progress as needed. Plans, organizes, and conducts ADA trainings.

  • Works with Civil Rights Administrator in developing and submitting revisions to OAC and OKDHS policy, policy aids, training and training aids for review and submission per agency established time frames.

Preference may be given to candidate who is Certified EEO Complaint Investigator
