Cube Root is currently seeking multiple Assistant Project Managers to support multiple projects in Washington, DC. Primarily responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the areas of client relationships, contractor/consultant management and control, administrating the prime contracts, estimating and cost control, contractor invoice intake and review, construction reporting, submittal review and management and knowledge of scheduling principles. Ability to read and comprehend the prime contract and Owner consultant agreements and administrates the day to day office activities required by these documents. Identifies and conveys critical issues in a timely manner, offering and assisting in the implementation of solutions as appropriate.

Maintains direct interaction with owners, design team, prime contractor and other consultants. Adds value to Client and considers their best interest when making decisions. Identify and assist in arbitrating project related conflicts between the contractors or consultants and Client. Maintains familiarity with field activity by regularly surveying the site. Supports the Quality Assurance team as required.

Organizes project documentation intake. Manages project documentation and summary tracking logs. Ensure that invoices, change orders, submittals, and RFI's are accurate and timely managed. Able to quickly learn and become proficient in use of the Client project management software and other administrative programs. Acts under the direction of PM to ensure that contractor and consultant payment is timely. Acts with urgency contractor payment issues arise. Reviews change orders, proposals, bids, invoices, and other pricing documentation for basic compliance. Assists Project Manager with development of budget forecasting.

Leads by example, wearing appropriate safety gear and following safety requirements. Displays a positive and productive attitude toward safety.

As needed, assist the Project Manager with preparing scopes of work for any new Owner initiatives. Provides effective oral and written communication. Prepares various meeting agenda and meeting minutes for distribution.

Use the project schedule as a basis for daily activity. Comfortable with scheduling principles and can identify and report on field or office activity that does not conform to the published schedule.
