Your role within the team 

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager, PMO China to help bring innovative products to market. In this role, you will partner closely with cross‑functional teams, including China Innovation, R&D, Quality and Supply Chain, to support both New Product Development and Existing Product Development initiatives. You will play a key part in building project timelines, defining key milestones, monitoring progress, and coordinating across departments to ensure projects stay on track and deliver against market and customer needs. This role also provides essential support to the project leadership team to keep execution smooth and aligned.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Support the China Project Management Office and your direct leader by tracking progress across New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD), providing regular updates and preparing clear project status reports. 
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to proactively gather progress updates and ensure smooth project execution. 
  • Maintain and update Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) meeting minutes and distribute them to all relevant teams in a timely manner.

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: 

  • Tertiary qualification and relevant industry experience in consumer products 
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong project management skills. 
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships quickly and communicate confidently with cross‑functional teams. 
  • Experience working within a medium to large organisation, ideally in the FMCG or Pharmaceutical industry. 
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including processes, tools, and methodologies.
