Overview

Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, the Project Manager should possess a deep understanding of business operations and performance strategy for supported GEICO business units. The PM plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between Business Units, Human Resources, Technology, and the Business Intelligence team as it pertains to performance management processes. Utilizing Agile Scrum and/or Lean methodologies, the PM will ensure business units are equipped with the optimal data-related solutions to their challenges, facilitating the business units’ strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Utilizing best practices, tools, and artifacts, the Project Manager helps accurately capture and document project requirements and ensures that all stakeholders understand the project's timeline and objectives. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment where communication and collaboration is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and drive forward GEICO’s performance strategy/roadmap.
  • Act as liaison between business unit stakeholders, FDR Business Intelligence team, and Human Resources to facilitate a common understanding of project milestones, roles & responsibilities, and timelines.
  • Generate all necessary artifacts, including features, user stories, and process diagrams to support project development and implementation.
  • Secure buy-in and engagement from all required stakeholders through continuous engagement, feature demonstration and approvals as needed. Ensure synergy and alignment across all operational departments.
  • Work closely with BI Business Analysts to understand specific business unit needs and technical limitations. In collaboration with the BIBA team, propose solutions that meet individual needs while maintaining consistency across all GEICO operations.
  • Effectively facilitate regular performance management activities (i.e. target reviews, performance assessments, and/or ACE bonus program data)
  • Participate in any design sessions related to performance goal packages to help inform the art of the possible and appropriate understanding of required effort. Assist in development of materials used to communicate enhancements to associates and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to influence and align stakeholders and remove blockers
  • Must be comfortable interacting with and influencing executive level leadership
  • Relevant project/product management experience of 5+ years (required)
  • P&C insurance experience (required)
  • Azure DevOps experience, or similar (preferred)
  • Exposure to Business Intelligence tools/procedures
