A leading manufacturer specialising in rigid packaging requires the above to be accountable for managing key account customers within the municipality markets on a national basis.


Minimum requirements for the role:
  • Previous experience having worked within the rigid plastic packaging or a related market is preferred for the role.
  • Previous experience selling large plastic waste bins and related bins will be an advantage.
  • Previous sales experience is essential for the role.
  • Previous experience having sold products to municipalities is essential for the role.
  • Previous experience having dealt with tenders at municipalities is essential for the role.
  • Must be able to work in a team and must have good Excel and Word experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Managing key account customers selling rigid plastic packaging products into municipalities on a national basis.
  • Tendering for business at municipalities and driving the tender process to completion.
  • Defining sales and marketing objectives and strategies for sales territories.
  • Drive sales budgets, forecasts as well as yearly sales targets.
  • Driving and managing sales forecasting and operational planning process.
  • Obtaining market share according to the company’s strategy.
  • Managing and overseeing all contracts and agreements with customers and distributors in alignment with the company’s strategy.
  • Assisting quality and operations ensuring that the customer complaint reporting process is adhered to.
  • Generating and presenting sales reports to senior management. 
  • Obtaining and initiating new business projects.
  • Optimising and selectively implementing new products in order to maximise profit.
  • Managing and negotiating pricing with customers.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
