A leading manufacturer specialising in rigid packaging requires the above to be accountable for managing key account customers within the municipality markets on a national basis.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Previous experience having worked within the rigid plastic packaging or a related market is preferred for the role.
- Previous experience selling large plastic waste bins and related bins will be an advantage.
- Previous sales experience is essential for the role.
- Previous experience having sold products to municipalities is essential for the role.
- Previous experience having dealt with tenders at municipalities is essential for the role.
- Must be able to work in a team and must have good Excel and Word experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing key account customers selling rigid plastic packaging products into municipalities on a national basis.
- Tendering for business at municipalities and driving the tender process to completion.
- Defining sales and marketing objectives and strategies for sales territories.
- Drive sales budgets, forecasts as well as yearly sales targets.
- Driving and managing sales forecasting and operational planning process.
- Obtaining market share according to the company’s strategy.
- Managing and overseeing all contracts and agreements with customers and distributors in alignment with the company’s strategy.
- Assisting quality and operations ensuring that the customer complaint reporting process is adhered to.
- Generating and presenting sales reports to senior management.
- Obtaining and initiating new business projects.
- Optimising and selectively implementing new products in order to maximise profit.
- Managing and negotiating pricing with customers.
