We are looking for detail-oriented, dedicated individuals interested in a hands-on, impactful position within a dynamic, growing field to join our team as a Cellular Therapies Project Manager in Gainesville, FL. In this crucial role, you'll support the Director of Cellular Therapies by coordinating, managing, and tracking departmental projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and in alignment with departmental goals, while facilitating cross-functional collaboration and communication. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project assignments directed by the Director of Cellular Therapies.
  • Assist in the development of project plans, including schedules and task assignments.
  • Ensure all project tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
  • Provide regular project updates to management staff.
  • Interface with stakeholders to implement requested changes and to discuss new developments as they relate to the project.
  • Coordinate release and post implementation tasks as necessary.
  • Measure and analyze project performance by tracking key metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct research or data analysis to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Assist with regulatory, compliance, or quality documentation as required by projects.
  • Track and manage project budgets, resources, and timelines as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding assigned projects.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among laboratory, clinical, regulatory, and administrative teams.
  • Must have consistent and reliable transportation.
  • Attendance is a requirement of this position.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; degree in information Business Administration, Project Management, or Health Science preferred.
  • Experience: At least two years of previous project management, process development, and/or blood banking experience required. Prior experience in the field of cellular therapy preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification strongly preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of methods for project planning and estimation.
  • Adept at root-cause analysis and problem-solving to support project success.
  • Adaptable to changing regulations, processes, and organizational priorities.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of compliance, regulatory, or quality standards relevant to the department or organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships across teams and departments.
  • Ability to work in a variety of physical environments.

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
