This is a Part-Time Staff Pool in our Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) department for available assignments during the academic year. The Cranes, Rigging, and Signalperson Instructor provides classroom and hands-on instruction in crane operations, preparing students for safe, effective work in OSHA CFR 29.1910-General Industry and OSHA CFR 29.1926-Construction environments. The instructor is responsible for delivering curriculum aligned with federal safety regulations and industry-recognized standards, reinforcing competencies such as load chart interpretation, crane configuration, rigging, signaling, inspections, and lift planning. This position supports the development of workforce-ready individuals in high-demand skilled trades.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position requires indoor and outdoor instruction in various weather conditions, including physical activity in construction training areas. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The instructor must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb onto equipment, and stand or walk for extended periods. Frequent use of hands, vision, and verbal communication is required for instruction and equipment operation.
