Construction Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Base Salary to 150k/year - Chantilly, VA

  • Our client is a leading commercial building envelope contractor with a strong regional presence and a growing interiors division, focused on complex façade and interior panel systems across the DC Metro area.
  • They are seeking to add a Construction Project Manager to their Chantilly-based team to oversee commercial interior and façade construction projects, with contract values up to 15 million. The Construction Project Manager will manage a wide range of responsibilities including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, logistics, and on-site coordination. The ideal candidate brings construction expertise, project leadership, and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality, design-forward projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full lifecycle of projects including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, logistics, and field execution
  • Coordinate daily with field teams, subcontractors, and general contractors on site needs and sequencing
  • Review and track project documentation: submittals, RFIs, change orders, material deliveries, and job logs
  • Create or oversee development of site logistics plans, field installation diagrams, and crate packaging layouts
  • Assist in reviewing shop drawings and collaborating with design, production, and field teams for seamless execution
  • Maintain up-to-date scopes and project tracking using Smartsheet and related tools
  • Attend weekly internal and contractor meetings, providing clear project updates and flagging any risks
  • Support compliance with site safety plans, equipment selection, and install methodology

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial interiors, façade, or drywall-related construction projects
  • BS/MS in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction sequencing, rigging, materials, and safety codes
  • Proficient with MS Office, Smartsheet (or similar), PDF editing tools (Bluebeam/Adobe), and basic CAD a plus
  • Able to work from the Chantilly office daily and travel locally to job sites as needed

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 90k – 150k/year range
