Test electrical and refrigerant circuits using the appropriate equipment.
Repair and replace defective components, thermostats, relays, timers, and wiring.
Repair and service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, including replacing filters and contactors, refilling refrigerants, and confirming proper refrigerant levels.
Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, relays, controls, and timers.
Study wiring diagrams, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to confirm configurations and ensure proper installation of heating and cooling equipment components.
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety protocols and maintaining a clean work area.
Record and report time, materials, faults, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences on work orders.
Perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning equipment and replacing filters.
Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
Detect internal and external equipment malfunctions, including alarm wiring, control systems, and building environmental systems.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in HVAC or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and HVAC diagnostic tools.
