What You’ll Do: 

The Project Manager resides within the Customer Implementation Services Team, working closely with SambaSafety and customer stakeholders to guide, consult, and delight customers through their implementation lifecycle. This role requires an experienced Project Manager who combines strong organisational and communication skills and has strategic experience working with stakeholders ranging from C-Suite to individual contributors. The ideal candidate will bring commercial insurance or fleet experience and insight, along with an incredibly positive attitude. This role will be the #1 PM in the UK, focusing on implementing and onboarding SambaSafety’s largest and global enterprise customers, while also helping to establish project management practices in the UK.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Customer Advocacy
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s needs and priorities to achieve success 
    • Consult, obtain, and document customer goals, business requirements, timelines, and key deliverables
    • Help guide the customer toward best practice approaches recommended by the SambaSafety team
  • Stakeholder & Change Management 
    • Support and manage multiple, simultaneously large customer implementations, each containing numerous different internal and external stakeholders
    • Anticipate risks and bottlenecks, explore contingencies, and provide escalation management internally and externally with our customers
    • Lead structured and regular communication with stakeholders, anticipating their questions, providing customer feedback, and ensuring customers’ needs are addressed 
  • Project Governance & Delivery Enablement 
    • Define, estimate, and schedule project milestones, tasks, priorities, and interdependencies 
    • Recommend and implement plans that are structured and disciplined, yet smartly flexible to absorb change 
    • Embraces continuous learning and knowledge-sharing in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
    • Establish and maintain implementation metrics and project documentation, including plans, schedules, status report, and meeting minutes

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 2-3 years of commercial insurance or fleet experience and working hands-on with customers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment 
  • 3-4 years of global business practices, including customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and customer success norms
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and customer experience within a SaaS or technology-driven company
  • Certifications in PRINCE2, PMP, SCRUM, Agile methodologies are preferred
  • Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a "can-do" attitude, while remaining committed to feedback and a strong desire to learn

Work Environment & Flexibility:

This role offers a hybrid work model, blending the best of both worlds—remote flexibility and in-person collaboration. You can work from home with 2 to 3 days per week in the office, fostering connection and teamwork while maintaining work-life balance.

As a Project Manager, you’ll spend most of your time collaborating virtually, leading projects through digital tools, onscreen video meetings, and cross-functional communication platforms.

  • Standard business hours apply, with occasional flexibility to support global teams or meet project milestones
  • Travel is minimal and intentional, focused on high-impact moments like customer meetings, team offsites, or select industry events
  • The role involves extended screen time and standard office equipment, typical of a modern, tech-enabled work environment
