Data Pipeline Engineer

Texas Preferred (REMOTE ELIGIBLE)

Our client, a mature property and casualty insurance company, is investing heavily in a modern data transformation initiative and building out a new internal Data Office. As part of this initiative, they are seeking a Data Pipeline Engineer to take ownership of the organization’s data pipelines and transition responsibilities from an external consulting firm to internal teams. The ideal candidate will be an experienced data engineer with expertise in Azure Data Factory and Databricks, eager to influence the future of data infrastructure and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks to support enterprise-wide data needs.
• Transition production data engineering work from external partners to internal teams, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data analysts, business stakeholders, and developers to support data warehouse initiatives and improve data accessibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and managing data pipelines in a cloud environment, particularly using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Proficiency with SQL, and familiarity with Python or Spark; strong understanding of cloud data warehousing concepts.
• Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry and familiarity with Guidewire and modern data platforms is strongly preferred.
