Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:
The Engineering Project Manager II is responsible for managing (planning, scheduling, resourcing, monitoring and reporting) product development projects from concept through production/catalog release. The Engineering Project Manager II will also work to oversee multiple projects. 
 
Salary Range: $105,000 - $120,000 per year
 
Job Function:
  • Work independently or in conjunction with a product design engineer on product development projects and with all associated departments involved in product design, characterization, qualification, and the release to production.
  • Accurately define the projects’ purpose, scope, objectives (performance, budget, cost, timeline, ROI assessment) and deliverables, including key milestones, project resource requirements, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Assist Design Engineers with the planning of new Product Development projects including driving the company’s Product Generation Process requirements for each new development.
  • Document the status of the work effort relative to the plan using various project tracking tools.
  • Work with the Design Engineer to document characterization test plans, and partner with appropriate stakeholders to document product development qualification plans.
  • Report project status to the relevant stakeholders and company leadership, and escalate projected challenges and shortfalls in a timely manner to affect the appropriate corrections.
  • Responsible for the attainment of the of the project objectives including the review of project deliverables for coverage and quality.
  • Work with the department managers of the various functional department to assign resources to the project to successfully achieve the project objectives.
  • Partner with Purchasing team to focus on timely and adequate supply of materials for Engineering and Manufacturing Assembly to support deliverables.
  • Work with the relevant department supervisors to assign manufacturing and test resources.
  • Close projects in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Electrical Engineering (preferred), + 3 years of experience in a related field
    • Mechanical Engineering, + 3 years of experience in a related field
    • Industrial Engineering, + 3 years of experience in a related field
      OR;
  • Master's Degree in one of the above disciplines, + 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in the use of Project Management, ERP and PLM tools (JIRA, AS400 Smartsheet and/or Arena desirable)
  • Strong research, analytical and presentation skills
  • Must have experience using Excel for database management (sorting, filtering, processing, categorizing, graphing skills are essential)
  • Experience bringing products to market from design to production, with a strong focus on manufacturing efficiency.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on-time results and be accountable.
  • Detail oriented and extremely well organized 
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to ITAR compliance
