Responsibilities

Responsible to monitor, repair, and perform preventive maintenance program on all the hotel's refrigeration equipment.

 
Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following: 
  1. Assist in start-up, shut down, and operation of all refrigeration equipment.
  2. Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on all refrigeration equipment.
  3. Perform maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  4. Install new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines.
  5. Identify and troubleshoot problems and make repairs accordingly.
  6. Perform appropriate plumbing requirements for refrigeration equipment repairs as needed.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned, including kitchen equipment repairs.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of refrigeration, structural layout, and system functions and design.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems including repair and maintenance and basic electric and plumbing skills. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and application. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff. 
  • From entry-level to two years relevant experience preferred.
  • High school education or equivalent.  Trade apprenticeship preferred.
