Job description:
The Field Support Technical Expert’s main job purpose is to provide technical (electrical or mechanical) expertise and support site personnel during the installation, finishing and commissioning phase in order to prepare the WT/WF for completion. Once an ESV, MSV, Commissioning or Quality Manager opened a ServiceNow-Ticket due to e.g. a quality deviation which is not directly solvable on site, the Field Support Technical Experts are providing technical 1st level-support in order to solve such issues in a timely manner. To achieve this, all activities and provided solutions have to be executed in a safe manner considering the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
Profile:
Skills:
 Professional technical education in the electro- or power electronic sector
 Proven experience in the field of maintenance, service, supervision or commissioning with focus on renewable energy projects, preferably in the wind industry
 Profound technical understanding
 Substantiated experience in trouble-shooting and repairing related equipment’s
 Highest degree of willingness to provide services
 Excellent ability to work independent and efficient with minimum supervision
 Excellent communicator with strong German and English skills, fluent spoken and written
 Strong planning, scheduling, and prioritization skills
 Strong experience in using electronic measurement equipment
 Technical knowledge of computer hardware, Windows OS, Converter User Interfaces, NC2, etc.
 Safe handling of MS Office, SAP and other project-related software desirable
 Resilience, flexibility and ability to work in an international, performance-oriented and diverse team
 Willingness to travel to construction sites from time to time
 Capability to comprehend and adapt to rapidly changing technologies
 Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and engineers

Electrical:
 Completed vocational training in Electronics/Mechatronics or similar field
 Proficiency with Health and Safety procedures/methods such as
  o LOTO (lock out tag out), electrical safety, fall protection awareness, basic understanding of hazardous materials (MSDN)
 Familiarity with several technologies such as
  o Electrical systems (low, medium and high voltage) / mechanical & rotating systems, basic understanding of integrated electrical machinery & hydraulic systems, fibre optical systems, network technologies
 Familiarity with general procedures such as
  o Electrical / mechanical installation, testing of electrical / mechanical installations, quality management, phase & rotation checks and ground grid requirements
 Familiarity with several tools such as
  o Voltage testers, multimeters, amp clamps, infrared testers, mechanical measuring tools (e.g. digital calliper),
 Proficient computer skills utilizing
  o Wind farm and turbine control software including the use of computerized diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
Mechanical:
 Completed vocational training in Mechanics /Mechatronics or similar field
 Proficiency with Health and Safety procedures/ methods such as
  o LOTO (lock out tag out), electrical safety, fall protection awareness, basic site induction, basic understanding of hazardous materials (MSDN)
 Familiarity with several technologies such as
  o Mechanical & rotating systems, basic understanding of hydraulic systems
 Familiarity with general procedures such as
  o Mechanical installation and finishing, testing of mechanical installations, quality management
 Familiarity with several tools such as
  o Mechanical measuring tools (e.g. digital calliper), Hydraulic torqueing/ tensioning tools (e.g. HyTorc, ITH)
 Proficient computer skills utilizing
  o Browser based control systems

Experience
General:
 2 years’ experience in working with WTs or associated systems
Electrical:
 Experience with low, medium and high voltage component systems
 Experience in programmable control systems
Mechanical:
 Experienced in working with crane operations (rigging and lifting)
