Corteva Agriscience has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Global Regulatory Project Manager (GRPM) in the Global Registration Team within Global Regulatory Affairs. The global project manager will translate regulatory strategies and plans to action/implementation, provide milestone and budget tracking, identify risks to the critical path and have ultimate accountability for managing plans from start to finish.  The GRPM serves as the overall project manager for a portfolio of regulatory projects within a matrix organization.  This position is located in Johnston, IA.

The Global Registration Team is responsible for regulatory execution to enable product registrations across a broad range of agricultural technologies, globally.  The successful candidate will be a member of multiple global regulatory teams and partner closely with Global Regulatory Leaders (GRL) for strategic direction.  The candidate will also partner with Regulatory Sciences Subject Matter Experts, Regulatory Sciences Team Leaders, Business Partners, Regional/Country Regulatory Leaders, Regional Regulatory Managers, and Supply Chain managers.

The role requires the ability to work effectively across various regulatory jurisdictions, technical disciplines and across time zones.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide project and program management for products at different R&D stages and life cycles for assigned portfolios according to signature processes                                                    

  • Builds Regulatory Sciences plans in enterprise project management system, updates plan and tracks key studies/milestones as programs progress through their life cycle.  Communicates any risks or delays to GRL, and project teams.
  • Provides critical path risk assessment, and alerts to vulnerabilities and delays.
  • Updates Regulatory Sciences plans as needed throughout the year.
  • Actively manages regulatory program implementation, including study timelines, submission milestones, tracking down information, and intervention.
  • Provides interpretation and guidance on budget reports.
  • Drives the evaluation process for unplanned studies and activities and captures changes in appropriate systems. 
  • Facilitates regulatory team operations, including scheduling meetings, building agendas, capturing notes and actions, following through until completion.

 Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a BS degree in life sciences, agriculture related field, project management, business, or related field.
  • Industry experience in regulatory or technical project management; 5 year minimum.
  • Accepts responsibility and takes ownership of projects.
  • Possesses excellent problem solving and time management skills. Shows initiative toward project planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate urgent projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple projects and teams.
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic regulatory environment where needs change frequently, and ability to navigate a space that may not always be clearly defined with job instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agriculture or related industry experience is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Regulatory experience in various jurisdictions, such as EPA, USDA, FDA, EU regulatory bodies or equivalent. 
  • Global project management or related global experience.
