 Position Summary:

Revere Golf Club is seeking a reliable and knowledgeable Irrigator to join our agronomy team. This position is essential to maintaining the health and playability of our golf courses through proper inspection, maintenance, and repair of our complex irrigation systems. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of irrigation components, can diagnose and fix issues efficiently, and takes pride in maintaining high-quality turf conditions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and monitor irrigation system performance on a regular schedule.
     
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to valve-in-head sprinklers, rotary pop-ups, valves, swing joints, lateral and mainline breaks, electrical wiring, and VFD pump station components.
     
  • Replace and maintain irrigation parts such as nozzles, diaphragms, solenoids, circuit boards, transformers, and fittings.
     
  • Conduct system testing, including ohms testing and ground fault locating.
     
  • Perform computer programming and database updates related to irrigation schedules and system performance.
     
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, water usage, schedules, and system components.
     
  • Manage inventory of irrigation tools, supplies, and project materials; assist with ordering parts as needed.
     
  • Perform routine system flushes and adjustments to optimize efficiency.
     
  • Provide periodic performance reports to the Superintendent and Agronomy leadership.
     
  • Be available for emergency off-hours repair as needed.
     
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to support overall course conditioning.
Requirements

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of irrigation maintenance or related field experience (golf course preferred).
     
  • Strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems, including low-voltage wiring and computer-based control systems.
     
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform constant physical activity (standing, bending, lifting, pulling).
     
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
     
  • Availability to work weekends and early mornings.
     
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative in problem-solving.
     
  • Strong communication and recordkeeping skills.
     
  • Must be able to operate basic tools and irrigation-specific equipment safely.
  • Employment authorization through E-Verify 
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Rain Bird central irrigation systems.
     
  • Prior golf course or large-scale landscape irrigation experience.
     
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.


Salary Description
$18-23/Hr; Full Time; with PTO
