Position Overview

Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Petroleum Engineer, working within the Subsurface Department. The successful candidate will provide technical support in petroleum/reservoir engineering activities across operated assets and projects.  This position offers exposure to subsurface workflows, modelling and field development planning while building foundational skills under supervision.

Responsibilities

Assist in data gathering and analysis of well and reservoir performance (pressure, production, fluid properties).

  • Support reservoir modelling and simulation tasks, including history matching and uncertainty analysis.
  • Contribute to production forecasting and reserves estimation under guidance.
  • Participate in integrated subsurface studies with geoscientists, petrophysicists, production engineers and drilling engineers.
  • Help prepare technical documentation and presentations for internal and external reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and company policies in all activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred but not essential).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and willingness to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proactive attitutde and eagerness to learn.
  • Familiarity with reservoir engineering principles and industry standard software tools (e.g. Eclipse, T-Nav, MBAL, Prosper) desirable.
  • With a high level of drive, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can take direction and work autonomously, ideally solution focused
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate / interact at different levels across the organisation.
  • This role is based in Aberdeen with occasional travel to operational sites.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
