Job Title: Refrigeration Construction/Install Foreman
Department: Specialty Trades
Reports to: Director of Construction
Job Description/Qualifications:
Working field lead for various refrigeration projects including but not limited to new and retrofit walk in installs, new box construction, refrigeration piping, hanging evaporators and installing condensers and installation of DX air conditioning systems
Perform commercial installs
Deliver projects and minimize future warranty work
Exceed client expectations and deadlines
Knowledge of local code and standard field practices
Knowledge of wiring and troubleshooting refrigeration and other grocery related equipment
Knowledge of how to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturer literature
Achieve or outperform budget expectations
Attend on site foreman meetings with other contractors
Work closely with both internal and external PM’s, GC’s
Create and maintain employee schedules
Ability to forecast job needs and specifications, stock lists and headcount
Help mentor and develop apprentices
Installation, service and brazing experience is necessary
License Required
EPA 608 Universal Certification
MA Refrigeration License
Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements:
Lifting (approx 50 lbs.), climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operate motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools
Other:
An individual must show a willingness to continue to develop skills in the Plumbing and HVAC/R trade as part of the continued learning process. Must show strong teamwork skills and also be capable of working independently.
