The Specialty Pharmacy Management Services (SPMS) Implementation Project Manager organizes, manages, and plans complex projects for the organization’s implementation, development, and operations efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. This role supports the VP, Specialty Pharmacy Management Services, in their duties to coordinate implementation projects for new and existing clients.
The SPMS Implementation Project Manager will assist with the coordination and planning of a wide variety of services, accreditation, and software implementations, as well as follow up on any technical issues. They will work closely with the VP, Specialty Pharmacy Management Services to develop and maintain the appropriate documentation and records for each implementation project and assure that the needed time and resources are allocated to each project. This position will include project management and various tasks assigned by the VP, Specialty Pharmacy Management Services, Implementation Specialists, and Technical teams to promote successful completion of all implementation activities.
Responsibilities
The SPMS Implementation Project Manager supports the Implementation and Technical teams to communicate, plan, organize, coordinate, and document accreditation, implementation, and integration project activity. Communication with the client and IT department representatives will be required. The Implementation Project Manager will meet with the key stakeholders from SPMS division and the client to discuss the implementation plans and provide regular updates regarding the status of these projects. Utilizing their project management skills, the Implementation Project Manager may also lead software implementations and will be required to maintain up-to-date knowledge of all SPMS division technology applications and offerings. The Implementation Project Manager will work in a remote capacity and will utilize teleconferencing tools in order to obtain these goals.
Integration/Technical Support
Provide project management for integration projects by scheduling meetings, discussing the requirements for integration, and effectively communicating integration solutions to clients
Communication
Collaborate with both client and internal SPMS Division personnel (e.g., client DOP and IT department, SPMS Division Regional Managers, CarePathRx technical resources, SPMS Division Training department) to effectively assess and plan for implementation of SPMS Division services and software.
Assist in developing project plans for new implementations and the creation of documentation for implementation projects
Partner, support, and collaborate with management in designing, implementing, evaluating, and managing assigned projects.
Leads an interdepartmental team effort to complete assigned projects on time, on-budget, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure accurate and timely follow-up to client stakeholder questions/concerns
Assist in developing action plans to resolve potential implementation issues that may delay go live of SPMS Division contracted services.
Specialty Pharmacy Services Implementation Support
Coordinate, assist with, and perform implementation tasks that can be completed by non-pharmacist personnel
Prepare contact cards and pharmacist biographies to be shared with all new clients and when requested
Request access codes/login information for client pharmacy systems and networks via approved procedures and follow up with client staff to ensure timely provision of codes; once provided, verify that pharmacists have required and appropriate access to all client systems
Assist in ensuring each assigned pharmacist and technicians are sufficiently prepared for go live with their designated client(s)
DromosPTM Software Implementation Support
Execute company process for effectively implementing DromosPTM software offerings at client sites, including multiple DromosPTM modules and associated services; continuously improve process for efficiency
Coordinate with client staff (e.g., DOP, Quality Manager, others), manage internal resources (e.g., IT, Product Development, Integration), and effectively guide each party through each step of implementation
Assist the Software Implementation Specialists by facilitating the management of client expectations during the implementation process, including discussions regarding potential delays in the implementation process
Product Knowledge of SPMS Division’s Platforms and Processes
Maintain current detailed product knowledge of SPMS Divisions platforms and processes (e.g., software, workflow)
Develop understanding of system integration and technical aspects of DromosPTM platform
Provide input regarding proposed system features and platform enhancements
Participate in the product and process development process
Provide live training to clients using remote conferencing applications (i.e. Zoom, Google Meet) and prepare and disseminate written training materials when appropriate
Accreditation support
Successfully supports new and existing clients through the entire accreditation process (URAC, ACHC, NABP, etc.)
Build SPMS Division Accreditation Policy Reference Libraries, for new and existing clients
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a specialty pharmacy technician or other health care related role
3+ year project management experience preferred
Training experience (strongly preferred)
Proficient technological literacy is preferred
Strong IT and troubleshooting experience preferred
Exceptional organization and communication skills, both written and oral
Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects, people, and competing objectives
Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across various functions and levels authority; ability to use varied communications tools and methods
Demonstrated customer service skills
Working knowledge of technological applications used for teleconferencing
Basic understanding of technical and medical terminology
Proficiency with office technology tools, to include Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel for visits required by clients
