Position Summary
Bolden’s Cleaning & Restoration is seeking an experienced and highly organized In-house Flooring Project Manager to join our growing team. This critical role involves managing all flooring components within our insurance restoration repair projects and overseeing the entire lifecycle—from initial consultation to final inspection—of all retail (non-insurance) flooring jobs. The ideal candidate is adept at logistics, client communication, and maintaining strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities (Job Duties)*
*The In-house Flooring Project Manager will be responsible for the following core areas:
Restoration Project Coordination (Flooring Components)
- Collaboration & Customer Service: Coordinate closely with Repair Project Managers on their projects, assisting from the scheduling phase through on-site measurements (when requested) and managing customer showroom selection appointments.
- Technical Consultation: Provide specialized consultation to Repair Project Managers, particularly for more complex or intricate flooring jobs.
- Estimate Proficiency: Must be willing to learn how to read insurance repair estimates, if not already possessing prior knowledge of insurance restoration and repair work.
- Scope and Estimate Verification: Review project scopes and estimates related to flooring (e.g., hardwood, tile, carpet, LVT) to confirm material requirements, labor hours, and budgetary accuracy.
- Material Logistics: Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including selecting vendors, ordering materials, tracking lead times, and coordinating on-site delivery and storage.
Retail Flooring Project Management (Start-to-Finish)
- Full Lifecycle Management: Manage all incoming retail projects from start to finish at the highest quality standard. This includes:
- Setting up measurement appointments.
- Conducting showroom appointments for material selection.
- Providing accurate and competitive quotes to the customer.
- Managing all necessary project paperwork and contracting.
- Scheduling, jobsite visits, and closing out final project paperwork.
- Scheduling and Oversight: Assist in the scheduling and coordination of select installers between both the retail and repair project managers to optimize labor resources.
- Budget & Invoice Management: Monitor job costs to ensure projects remain profitable and manage invoicing and collection processes upon successful project completion.
On-call Requirement, Showroom, Inventory, & Administration
- On-Call Water Damage Team: This position requires participation on an on-call water damage team for one week per month to respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Communication & Support: Field and answer flooring-related calls, providing appropriate referrals when needed.
- Cross-Departmental Assistance: Assist the Mitigation or Carpet Cleaning departments by providing referrals or handling small repairs when required.
- Documentation & Quality: Maintain meticulous records of project progress, change orders, materials used, and final sign-offs.
- Showroom Management: Maintain the in-house flooring showroom, ensuring all displays, samples, and vendor materials are current, clean, and professionally presented to facilitate client and Project Manager selections.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and installers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable quality.
- B2B Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor representatives (reps), managing ongoing B2B relationships to secure favorable pricing, stay current on new product lines, and resolve any material or service issues promptly.
Inventory Management & Procurement:
- Stock Monitoring: Monitor usage rates and maintain minimum stock quantity levels for several key inventory items (e.g., setting materials, underlayment, transition strips) purchased from vendors and utilized by various departments (e.g., Mitigation, Repairs, Retail).
- Timely Ordering: Ensure timely and accurate procurement of stock items to prevent shortages and service interruptions, coordinating with department leads to forecast demand.
- Flooring Purchases: Manage the end-to-end ordering process for all in-house flooring materials required for both restoration and retail projects.
Financial Documentation:
- AR/AP Creation: Create all necessary Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) documents and records specific to the flooring department's purchases and sales transactions, ensuring strict adherence to company financial protocols.
After Hours Emergency Water Damage Tier Pay
Compensation for after-hours water damage response is paid on an elevated, tiered pay scale. Each employee completes an evaluation to determine their Tier and signs an agreement detailing the duties and responsibilities of that tier.

Schedule and Work Location
- Standard Shift: 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday.
- Travel: Limited outside of service area - only if approved for company sponsored training - all expenses paid.
- Emergency Response (On-call): Weekends and after-hours as needed for on-call duties.
- Work Location: In person at Bolden's location - go to customer home with company vehicle when required within our service area.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum Experience: 3 years of project management experience in the flooring, construction, or restoration industry.---Applications without this requirement will be rejected.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on professional client and team interaction.
- Technology: Proficient experience with Microsoft outlook, and intermediate level with most common office software utilized on windows desktops.

Preferred Attributes
- Industry Software: Experience with measuring software (e.g., specialized estimating tools) is preferred.
- Specific Software: Experience with Florwizard software is preferred.
- Background: Previous background in the insurance restoration sector is preferred.
- Installation Breadth: Experience with commercial flooring installation is preferred.
- Sales & Leadership: Prior experience in flooring sales/management or general sales/management is preferred.
- Project Software: Proficiency in construction management software (experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software is a plus).
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IICRC, CFI, NWFA, construction project management).
