SUMMARY OF POSITION
As an Irrigation Manager, you will assume the responsibility of overseeing all maintenance irrigation projects to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for defining objectives, priorities, and deadlines based on client expectations. You will work with crews, crew leaders, and other personnel to solve problems and provide excellent service. You’ll be responsible for managing personnel, equipment, budgets, and client relationships, driving the team towards excellence, and maintaining profitability.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and manage irrigation projects to ensure exceptional outcomes and profitability
- Foster clear and effective communication among team members and clients to deliver superior service
- Uphold budget objectives, ensuring timely billing and successful proposal completions
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members, overseeing their performance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Monitor accounts receivables consistently to maintain a healthy financial status
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, anticipating and addressing their needs proactively
- Maintain accurate administrative records, fostering smooth communication across all teams
- Develop and implement effective irrigation strategies to optimize water usage and promote sustainable practices
- Oversee regular inspections of irrigation systems to ensure their efficient operation and identify potential issues or malfunctions
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality irrigation equipment and materials, negotiating favorable terms and maintaining strong vendor relationships
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in irrigation systems, recommending innovative solutions for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, addressing any deviations from the plan and implementing corrective measures as needed
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop comprehensive irrigation project proposals, providing accurate cost estimations and timelines
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring that all team members adhere to established safety protocols and regulations at all times.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in irrigation management or a related field is preferred.

- Familiarity with pump stations, smart controllers, and 2 wire
- Irrigation design (flow rate and pressure)
