Are you an IT Project Manager with a keen ability to understand processes within the financial industry? If so, this position may be the right fit for you! Founders is searching for a dedicated individual with project management or project coordinator experience to join our Technical Project team located on site at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC. Remote work is not available.
The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading, overseeing the planning and implementation of Information Technology projects, including creating the project schedule with specific milestones, setting goals, planning, leading meetings, executing, and monitoring every aspect of the project. The IT Project Manager provides structure and process to interactions, so teams throughout the department can focus on the technical tasks that have been assigned for the project.

The IT Project Manager should possess excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and be able to understand and explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences while building rapport, and trust with team members, the business, FIT, LLC customers and vendors. The IT Project Manager should have strong analytical and critical thinking skills to oversee any issues that occur during project completion. The IT Project Manager should follow good meeting practices, keep a clear record of meeting agenda and time, have a variety of listening skills including the ability to paraphrase; draw people out; balance participation; and make space for quite group members. The IT Project Manager should have respect for all participants and a good understanding of the process and how to enable group decision making, structuring agendas for appropriate results and critical thinking skills. The IT Project Manager should have strong organizational and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget. The IT Project Manager will deliver value by leading project teams and driving effective collaboration with team members and the business. The IT Project Manager should be able to work under time constraints and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Candidate must have the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification that is issued by the Product Management Institute.
A minimum of seven years’ work experience leading projects, and a minimum of five years’ experience leading technical projects is required.
Previous project work with financial institutions is required.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or information technology is required.
Proven proficiency in Microsoft products is required.

Adhere to the principle of least privilege to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to critical systems or sensitive data by maintaining account permissions to accounts, processes and programs only required to do the job assigned.
Follow the asset management lifecycle process and procedures to support the efforts in maintaining an accurate and efficient configuration management inventory. Maintain knowledge and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Incident Response teams defined in the Incident Response Plan.
Due to the nature of project deadlines, system update requirements and end of period processing schedules, evening and weekend work will be required based on the demands of the department.
