Title: IT Project Manager (Security and Compliance) – (Subcontract at an NRI)

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The IT Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. This role will be primarily focused on cyber security initiatives, ensuring that all projects align with our organization's security standards and protocols. Preferred candidate location is local to the Boston, MA area, but hybrid/remote candidates will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Define project tasks and resource requirements.
- Develop full-scale project plans.
- Assemble and coordinate project staff.
- Manage project budget.
- Manage project resource allocation.
- Plan and schedule project timelines.
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Provide direction and support to the project team.
- Constantly monitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders.
- Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
- Project evaluations and assessment of results.
- Ensure all projects adhere to cyber security standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management in the IT sector (5+ years).
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience preferably with cyber related initiatives.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with project management software tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Experience in managing cyber security projects is highly desirable.
