An established company in the mining and industrial sector is seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Millwright to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency across various sites.
Proactively maintain equipment for the safe execution of operations.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Conduct legally required monthly inspections and maintain SHE compliance systems.
Attend to breakdowns and complete job/timecards accurately.
Maintain company tools and ensure they are in good working condition.
Travel to various sites and work overtime when required.
Be available for standby duties and work independently or as part of a team.
Grade 12 certificate (preferably Technical).
Trade Certificate as a Millwright.
1 – 3 years’ relevant experience in a mining or industrial environment.
Proven experience working with conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and crushers.
Valid driver’s license and own transport.
Computer literacy (MS Office).
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
