Avarint is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the Chemical Test Division team in conducting Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) at Dugway Proving Ground, UT. Primary duties will include:
· Working with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and technicians in the planning and execution of complex RDT&E programs.
· Providing technical expertise and problem solving to support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical approaches, and training programs.
· Reviewing and continuously improving the QA/QC program to ensure that all reported data is accurate, complete, reliable and of high-confidence.
· Developing analysis reports that include methods, procedures and data including interpretation of results and annotating the file documentation; and performing technical and/or administrative reviews of files, reports, data sets, results and conclusions.
· Maintaining a safe laboratory work environment in accordance with all documented laboratory procedures.
The position also requires that the selected candidate possesses:
· Past experience with laboratory work, preferably in the chemical and/or biological defense area.
· Excellent organizational skills and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to appropriately communicate with colleagues, management and clients to plan and execute duties.
· Deep attention to detail and the flexibility and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
Minimum Qualifications
· A.A.S. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or other related applied science or engineering discipline.
· A minimum of two (2) years of project/program management experience with DoD contracts, preferably in the area of chemical and biological defense.
· Experience reviewing customer requirements and developing technical approaches to testing and/or training programs.
· Experience with the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and monitoring program execution (cost, schedule, performance) through earned value management principles.
· Experience with Microsoft Office software including MS Project, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
· An active DoD Secret security clearance.
· Experience with Microsoft Office software (Access, SharePoint and Teams).
Special Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and remain eligible for a US Department of Defense security clearance during the course of employment. Candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
