What we are looking for:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applications for the position of Kindergarten Teacher/Director at St Brigid's Catholic Kindergarten, Emerald. This is a part-time position, for 26.6hpw (7 day fortnight), commencing from January 2026.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (or eligible to graduate)
  • Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
  • Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment

About us

St Brigid's Catholic Kindergarten, Emerald was established in 2013 and operates a five day fortnight with a current enrolment of 22 children.

Mandatory Requirements 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • The ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration and/or relevant ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teacher Qualification 
  • Hold one of the following Child Protection competencies or willing to obtain:
    • CHCPRT025—Identify and report children and young people at risk
    • CHCPRT001—Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
    • CHCPRT026—Support the rights and safety of children and young people
    • CHCPRT002—Support the rights and safety of children and young people
    • CHCECE057—Use collaborative practices to uphold child protection principles
