Ketjen Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Albemarle Corporation, is seeking a Maintenance Millwright. The position will be based out of the Bayport site located in Pasadena, Texas.
 

Requirement

  • Experience in safe in-plant maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment
  • Highly experienced in close tolerances and use of dial indicators, dial calipers, micrometers and other precision measuring equipment achieving measurements down to .0001".
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Past history of excellent quality results in daily work activities
  • Must be motivated and self-directed
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment
  • Good written and electronic communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of Journeyman Millwright experience.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and laser alignment systems.
  • Ability to Work straight nights 9/80 schedule
  • Ability to complete daily equipment documentation
  • Ability to interpret drawings and manuals

Preference

  • Working knowledge of both pump and conveyor functions
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic pumps, motors, reactors and actuators
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and laser alignment systems.
  • Thorough understanding of how bearing condition, alignment, structural support, and piping stress affect equipment MTBF
  • An understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance procedures
  • Working knowledge of the purpose and installation of mechanical seals
  • Working knowledge of lubrication best practices
  • Basic knowledge of mag- drive pumps
  • Basic knowledge of lathe, milling machine, drill press and other machine shop duties
  • 2-Year Technical Degree in Mechanical field or NCCER Millwright Certification
  • Experience in repair and maintenance of rotary kilns.
  • NCCCO Certified Crane Operator

Job Duties

  • Safe maintenance and repair of mechanical rotating equipment
  • Proper handling and installation of mechanical seals
  • Interpretation of mechanical deisgns and maintenance manuals
  • Use of a wide variety of hand, portable, and stationary power tools
  • Demonstrate root cause analysis approach to failures and generate reports accordingly
