Millwright

Our client is looking for a qualified Millwright to support the maintenance and efficiency of their high-performance production environment within the animal nutrition and feed manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring mechanical reliability and minimal downtime across the plant’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and execute timely repairs to maintain continuous production
• Install, maintain and upgrade machinery and automation systems as required
• Conduct routine inspections and report on equipment performance and potential risks
• Assist with optimisation of manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company protocols
• Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Collaborate with production and technical teams to resolve mechanical issues effectively

Key Skills

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
• Proficient in working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Strong time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Attention to detail with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the feed or FMCG industry
• Knowledge of animal feed or agricultural production systems is an advantage

Qualifications

• Recognised Red Seal Millwright Trade Certificate (Essential)
