A large company with an international footprint has an opportunity for a seasoned Millwright with experience in this environment. You must be able to relocate to a rural environment and to work shifts.
Required:
Electrical qualification is mandatory (NQF Level 5 or higher).
Additional Millwright certification is highly beneficial.
Collaborate with Maintenance Team: Work closely with the maintenance team to support mechanical and electrical repairs, particularly those involving motors, drives, and automated equipment.
Equipment Monitoring: Regularly inspect and monitor equipment performance, identifying potential issues before they escalate into significant problems.
Repair and Overhaul: Participate in the repair and overhaul of plant machinery, providing both electrical and PLC expertise to ensure comprehensive maintenance coverage.
Experience:
Proven experience in PLC programming, with a strong preference for Allen-Bradley systems.
Extensive experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting.
Experience with SCADA systems and their integration with PLCs.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of electrical systems, including motor control, wiring, and circuit design.
Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic and Structured Text).
Weekend Shifts: Work every second weekend, providing supervisory oversight to maintenance staff. Ensure that all weekend maintenance activities are completed efficiently and safely.
Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems.
