FoxFarm Soil & Fertilizer Company is seeking a Millwright Fabricator to join our Maintenance Team.
This position is responsible for having the ability to take a raw material from print, design or theory and create a long lasting, safe structure/support/product solely or working with team members from various departments. Fabricator must also be able to aid in assembling, disassembling, maintaining, and repairing machinery and other equipment.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Consult with management to help determine the best layout for machines, equipment, or other elements.
- Transport machines, equipment or other elements to desired location.
- Assemble machines, equipment, or other elements from their component parts, ensuring detailed directions and specifications are adhered to.
- Aid in routine and preventative maintenance for all machines, equipment and other elements.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnose problems with machines, equipment or other elements.
- Assist in minor and major repairs of machines, equipment or other elements to their component parts.
- Carefully organize and catalog component parts
- Assist in transport of machines, equipment or other elements after disassembly.
- Excel at fabricating, treating, or repairing surfaces, parts or other elements as needed.
- Ability to utilize tools to heat materials and bend/fit as needed.
- Choose the appropriate materials, such as metal, plastic, or wood for the assigned projects.
- Use specialized tools like saws, drills and grinders to cut and shape materials.
- Weld, solder, align/bore-to-match parts together to form the final product.
- Use appropriate tools, knowledgeable of capacities, and avoiding damage to self, others or equipment.
- Aid in ordering and request materials with minimal waste.
- Ability to understand blueprints, sketches and also has the ability to convey designs

Knowledge, Skill and Experience - High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of general and preventative maintenance and repair.
- Strong math skills.
- Experience with fabrication and welding.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Knowledge of electrical including 3-phase and PLC's.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints and instructions.

Typically, the Maintenance Team schedule is Monday- Friday, 5:30am to 2:00pm. There are opportunities for overtime with supervisor approval.
